FAQ's

Do I have to stay?

Yes, parents are expected to stay. This allows for infants, toddlers and younger children to glean from time in Nature as program aged children participate.

Its outdoors so what about snakes and other stinging, biting, animals?

Yes, we're outdoors so there is a chance that your child will have an unpleasant encounter with an animal (insects are animals). We bring a basic 1st aid kit. Anything beyond that is a 911 call or hospital visit based on parental preference.

Snakes...?

There are four types of venomous snakes in Duval County, Florida. we've found snake skin on previous hikes and where there's skin, there are snakes. Don't put your hand/poke a stick in a hole. Watch out for logs, dark piles of leaves and snakes sunning in the path.
